Terms of Service

Last updated August 27, 2026.

These terms cover your use of ThoughtFull — reminders for the dates that matter, and cards we help you send for them. By using the service, you're agreeing to them.

The service

You tell us about people in your life and the dates you want to remember. We remind you with enough lead time to send something real, and can handwrite and mail a physical card, send a digital one, or both — you choose per date.

Eligibility

You need to be 18 or older to create an account or make a purchase. The service is currently offered in the United States.

Subscription & billing

The subscription is $12/year, billed through Stripe and renewing automatically until cancelled. New subscribers who sign up directly get a free trial that covers the first full reminder-to-card loop — a subscription is only required to keep going after that. You can cancel or update payment details any time through the billing portal linked from Settings; cancelling stops future renewals but doesn't retroactively refund the current period unless we say otherwise.

Card orders

Physical and digital cards are priced separately from the subscription ($2–$10 depending on format), charged per order. Every new subscriber gets one free card credit to send once. We give our best estimate of when a physical card will arrive based on how far out the date is, but postal delivery is outside our control and dates aren't guaranteed — if something won't arrive in time, we'll say so and offer a digital card instead.

Text message (SMS) reminders

ThoughtFull's SMS program sends date reminders only — an advance notice and, if it goes unacted-on, a late-window nudge — to subscribers who've opted in and verified their own number in Settings. Message frequency depends on how many dates you're tracking. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers aren't liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Reply STOP at any time to cancel text reminders, or HELP for help — you can also turn text reminders off any time in Settings. Cancelling text reminders doesn't cancel your subscription; you'll still get reminders by email unless you turn those off too.

Gifted subscriptions

A subscription can be purchased as a gift for someone else. The purchaser's payment method covers the subscription and its renewals; she doesn't get a ThoughtFull account of her own, and the person the gift is for controls everything else about how it's used from that point on.

Your content

Anything you write for a card's message — or that we draft together — is used to actually produce and send that card, and for nothing else. You're responsible for what you ask us to write and send; we can decline to fulfill an order whose content is illegal, harassing, or otherwise inappropriate.

Acceptable use

Use ThoughtFull the way it's meant to be used — don't try to break it, abuse the free-card offer across multiple accounts, or use it to send anything illegal, threatening, or fraudulent.

Disclaimers

We work hard to get reminders and cards to you and the people you're sending them to, but the service is provided “as is,” without guarantees that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific delivery date will be hit exactly.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, ThoughtFull isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service — including a card that arrives late or not at all. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Termination

You can stop using ThoughtFull and cancel your subscription any time. We can suspend or close an account that violates these terms.

Changes to these terms

If we make a meaningful change to these terms, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, let you know by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
